We are the Queensland chapter of the Pre-Vocational Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (PVOGS) representing Australia and New Zealand. We were founded in 2015 with the aim of developing a sense of community and portal of communication between medical students and junior doctors interested in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G). Our goal is to promote and foster active interest in matters affecting the O&G field and its training pathway as well as, enhance the educational opportunities given to medical students and junior doctors.

In March 2018 we arranged a networking night for medical students and junior doctors interested in Obstetrics and Gynecology which was a great success. We also have a team running in the Mothers Day Fun Run in May raising funds for breast cancer research. We have also been actively involved in helping the national committee arrange the May 2018 PVOGS inaugural Conference at the Gold Coast
